Cold War, now an Airbnb.  Built in 1959/1960 during the Cold War to be a deterrent for Nuclear War.  This facility once held our first ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) a Weapon of Mass Destruction.  These were the first of the "super hardened" missile silos, built to withstand a 200 pound-per-square-inch blast within a 1  mile radius. At the time, these were some of the most hardened structures man has ever built. Construction costs (structure only) range from $12-18 million in 1960's dollars; in today's equivalent, that is over $110 Million dollars!  Come explore the Launch Control Center that is now an Airbnb, and follow the 40 ft tunnel in to the missile silo.  This incredible underground structure is 52' inside diameter and is approximately 200' deep.  You have to see it to believe it.

Tours every 30 mins on the hour and half hour, reservations are recommended through the website.  Cost $35.00 per person, includes a Free $25.00 collectors Missile Silo Coffee Mug and a Free UFO craft beer.
